Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise of 6+ years in WebDriverIO to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and test automation, with a focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using WebDriverIO to ensure the quality of web applications.
- Able to implement in API automation / Mobile or web automation using browser stack tools
- Reports implementations using extent reports / html5 / cucumber or any other reporting tools
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to understand application features and create robust test plans.
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks and strategies.
- Execute automated tests and analyse results to identify defects and ensure high-quality software releases.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve testability and code quality.
- Work closely with developers to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline.
- Monitor and maintain test environments and test data.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation and software development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an SDET or similar role, with a focus on test automation.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Javascript and Java, or Python.
- Expertise in using WebDriverIO and Cucumber for test automation.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as WebdriverIO, Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure, Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
- Strong understanding of software development and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in test automation or related areas.
- Experience with performance testing and tools like JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
